Swap Questions from a noob
I was just wondering what's the difference between the YZF and R6 tanks, and is it possible to swap a R6 tank?

R6 tank will not work at all. It wont even line up right. YZF is the only one and its an easy swap.

What is the reason behind changing the tank? Bigger, plastic? Just curious.

FZR1000 tank will work too as I recall.95FZR600 wrote:R6 tank will not work at all. It wont even line up right. YZF is the only one and its an easy swap.

Biggest reason is usually looks. The FZR tank cover isn't the most modern looking. The YZF is also metal so it feels a little more stable between the knees. Tanks size is about the same as I recall. And he's planning on doing a different tail which usually means a different seat which in turn means you'd have a big hole in the fzr cover that you would have to hide since the new seat won't cover it.
