Hiya, Ronny!
First, an air leak will make the bike run lean, not rich. If you're rich with an air leak (!) something else is going on. Second, those inlet pipes / stacks / joints are replaceable. Part number is 3HE-14453-00-00, US$15.76 MSRP at any Yamaha stealership, but you can probably pick it up cheaper online.
Of course, "cheaper online" can sometimes be a little meaningless when you start including shipping...

81quid for new rubbers o.O will a set of 95 foxeye rubbers fit my 90 model? cheers
Re: Wanted - FZR600 airbox
Do you need all four? A tired carb boot (this goes for the ones on the engine side, as well) can be refurbished by soaking in boiling coolant - don't use the wife's best crockpot, the stuff is toxic after all.
If you have one or two that are well and truly junk, then replace only those ones.

I'm going to upgrade my ride with dual KN filters, so you can get mine when I do.
My son's ride did the same as your, so I went to my local parts dealer (NAPA here) and bought some tubing with the inside diameter matching the carb throat. All I had to do was trim the rim off the airbox piece (up a bit from the carbs), and everything slid together .. and talk about ar-tight!
