Exhaust Header

Post by Boonswaki »

Hey guys, I'm new to this site, and this is my first thread. I was wandering if any of you guys could help me with some projects I have on my fzr. First things first, I have a 1991 Yamaha FZR 600. It was traded to me so I don't know the history of this beast, but I have looked it over and it's in good condition. Here's what I'm trying to do with it though, I. We'd to take off the exhaust header because when I start it up it makes a loud pop (like a gun shot), I heard when that happen you have excess fuel in the exhaust header. So could some of you guys help me get that thing off or any tips, also like any videos could be very handy. On the same note, could you guys also give me some tips on the carb? I think I need to drain it but I really don't know how to haha. But ANY help is appreciated! Noob Noob

Best approach will be to purchase a copy of the Yamaha Service Manual or a copy of the Haynes Service & Repair Manual. They will be your best source of information.
