Okay,Im looking for a couple more ponies out of my engine,FZR600. We are discussing decking the head to raise compression and tune from there.Question is.....Can I use a Cometic head gasket at .010" and get the same outcome? I cant find the stock thickness info anywhere. Has anyone here used the cometic head gasket for the same purpose with good results? or would I be wasting time?

Skimming the head will raise it slightly. Ultimately though, i'd have thought the quickest way to gain HP would be to drop the 750 head and pistons in..?
