Hi,
The URL below is to give details of drawings and exercises used when an apprenticeship meant serving 5 years as an underpaid over worked trainee where you were expected to learn by doing not only reading.
For those of you lucky enought to have a machine shop OR have access to one (local college / night school ) this agood place to start. I still have anumber of pieces I made.
I hope they are of help inspiration to some of you especially since the economy is so weak time to learn rather than brood.
