THIS JUST IN :-
A problem I'm only too well aware of. Even though my bolts were post plate baked it still happened. I guess the baking might not have been hot or long enough or perhaps I was just unlucky.

The above is a crankcase bolt for a Honda CB900F I'm restoring. Honda call them UBS (uniform bearing stress I think). The bolt torqued up nicely with a confident click on the torque wrench but the next day it was lying on my bench. Sometime during the night it had just snapped off where the thread starts even though it had been plated months before. It failed just as the article had described. Naturally I trashed all the bolts in that batch and bought new ones.
