Post by SouthendChris »

Back tyre arrived this week so got it fitted to rim this morning. At last my 3TJ can stand on its own again! Ongoing project!

Hello Evil. Shame it wont be ready for the 7th sept banghead

The 1WG airbox rubbers worked a treat, tried the tank today and all is good. Just got to sort some fuel pipe (inc a 10mm to 8mm adapter) and the tank can stay on! A bit of movint the loom by the fuses and relays and the rear bodywork is on to stay aswell. The front screen subframe needs the speedo cable hoop cut out and that can go on too! Its all coming together.

525 Chain and exhaust headers will have me nearly ready to finish :whistle

525 ? is that something you had lying about, I've used a 520 on my TJ.

I'm still knocking up that 660 engine lol

I have a new renthal 525 rear sprocket i got v v cheap from HG so I need to get a 525 O-ring chain. The 525 chain isn't too much more than the 520 really. Will get it from B&C when funds allow.

The last 'big thing' needed is an exhaust. Got to fab up a wiring loom for the H4 headlight and get a new battery. Minor things now

Think I might have to sell the FZR250 to help fund it.....

Which headlight are you using ? I've got a 3TJ headlight loom somewhere.

So you're the "other" after the pipes on the for sale forum huh ??? I can move a side for you if you like a Ton is a lot to ask for downpipes and when I throw the 660 into the 3TJ I'll have my original pipes for this rebuild. In the mean time I can probably run it on the YZF600 kit pipes for an MOT.

I am using a uk FZR600 headlight with a single (I think) H4 bulb. Fits perfect and I might not need night vision goggles. Yes I didn't want to butcher my TJ headlight loom but needs must.

I have passed up the downpipes for sale here, after something a bit cleaner, exup valve or not.... I was wondering how much of a fit the 3HE/4JH/YZF pipes would be. There is a seller on ebay with a new set of micron headers but I think they are 3HE.
