Hi All,being that I am pushing 48 I find that the stock clip-ons on my FZR 400 are a killer on my wrists.Since I don't race and canyon carving is 'SAFE' I turned my clip-ons upside down. You will also need to switch em left to right. It works great and no more numb wrists.Andy

I've heard of people doing that. Are they not bent up and a little awkward?
Apparently SECA handlebars fit those forks as well and would certainly be a great help.

Yeah I have that problem.. My wrists and palm kill me after an hour on the bike. I have to shake my hands out every 5minutes after I hit the wall? Post some pics of what they look like I'd like to see em

C,
the hand grip is that much higher so the lower back is straightened in the reach position.
What can happen if you are tall (me at 6'-2") is that it raises your head into the wind blast which is tiring.
I use a double bubble windscreen and that saves most of the blast.
The German have a touring windscreen for the 600 that has a curved "flip -up" on the top edge which some one on another forum said was "magic" he was 6-4 if memory serves.

I love this idea and plan to flip mine in the morning. I had an SV and built my own moto bars using kids bike size bars. worked great!

As an official old fart (52 this year) I go out on a ride most Sundays starting at 8:30am and return home around 5pm, with about an hour in total out of the saddle. No wrist, hand, shoulder pain or tiredness.
With all due respect, this is no way to treat a classic sports bike like the FZR.
The clipons sole purpose is to steer the bike and not carry the rider’s weight.
