Basically all it is is a metal bar that comes out of the ignition and sets in a groove. I occasionally have to wiggle my bars back and forth to find the groove.

Are you talking about the LOCK, or the SWITCH?
What isn't working about it?

TD,
the ignition switch key also activates a lock that shoves a feeble bit of iron into a slot in the frame, mine I have to press the key down into the ignition switch slot slightly harder to engage the mechanical bit, an wiggle the bars slightly to find the hole .

Ah, the sad part of getting old. You do realise, they have medications to help with these issues.

Don,
I know you live in the wilds of ontario, but go into town and ask the doctors about some blue pills & new fangled things like eyeglasses, I understand from friends that they both work wonders, luckily being married to a Nurse i have no need of such drastic measures LoL
