Petrol tank cover - is the 600 different ?

my petrol tank is from a 600 and the brackets are in different places, the 400 tank cover does not appear to fit correctly but I thought the 400 and 600 tank covers would be the same? Does anyone know if they are ?

They are different, I don't know what the difference is though.

They are different and the difference I believe having read the boy racer lists is that the inlet "spout" is not quite in the same place and the hight is off abit.
Send MODKING a PM he made alloy versions for a group of these guys thro me & he should have one set aside for me as well.

Yes the petrol cap does not fit flush with the tank now, I have the old petrol tank which can be welded up but thought I could maybe just get another petrol tank cover as arn't the 600s plastic?

Yeah they are plastic. I have my old one I think it's fibreglass £15 delivered (see pic below) the two tabs @ the front have been glued back on not noticeable, if your interested I'll get it out of the shed and take some photos.
