Fork Height

I noticed my bike was sitting on my race stands a bit weird the other day so I measured the height and the front axle sits about 1/4 inch higher off the ground on one side than the other. Can anyone suggest what might be causing this or what to check/do about it?

Thanks

Let me get some clarity here..

Was it on a stem stand?

Or was the stand under the lower fork leg?

Was the bike level/sitting plumb on the swingarm stand?

It was on a stem stand when I noticed it was weird so I took it off and left it on the swingarm stand when I measured

Your talking about with the wheel removed?
With the axel and wheel on they should be level even if they are shot.
if they are not level with wheel on you got big issues.
With wheel off and centre stem stand they should both go down to same level even with unbalanced oil and springs if they are just hanging.
That must mean the bike is on a angle while on stand.
Can we have more info and a photo.
