Re: FZR 400 BRAKES!!!
I think R6 '99-'02 calipers will fit well on it.
THE COST OF YOUR HELMET, IT DEPENTS ON HOW MUCH EXPENSIVE YOU THINK YOUR HEAD IS.
Re: FZR 400 BRAKES!!!
I know it's kind of an old thread, but...
'88 FZR400 front calipers are the dual cylinder variety, not four, like the later FZRs, thus YZF/R6 calipers are not compatible with the mounts on the forks. I have seen an example where brackets were made to adapt R6 calipers.
BTW.. I do have a spare set of '88 calipers, if you still need them.

FZR400 (1WG): Purchased a perfectly good FZR400 with Yoshimura slip-on/EXUP, Yosh jet kit, Factory ignition advance, Racetech springs and emulators. It even had great bodywork. Like some diseased maniac I had to mess with everything good about that bike. Well, at least I have better brakes now.
FZR400RR (3TJ):Yeah, it's pink.
