Hi,
well the following info was posted on another bike list for FZR400's:-
Hi,
Did some measurements and researched some of my old stuff. I used Ryan Nelson's chart for a starting point.
http://www.29dreamsracing.com/suspensionnotes.htm
My FZR400 with stock suspension and upgraded with .90 Traxxion springs, Racetech emulator modified by me, and 20W oil.
Front: Stock; 2" showing above the top triple, measured to the tube and not the cap.
Also measured 17 7/8" from the front axle to the bottom of the bottom triple.
23.5 degrees rake.
Still need to capture a vertical measurement from the floor steering head.
Rear: Shock length on the bike with bike weight 12"
Swingarm angle; 12.5 degrees from horizontal.
Some settings that I use;
front fork oil height 130mm
front sag; 38mm
emulator; 9 turns out
Rear;
Compression damping;#5
Rebound damping; 10
I weigh 175 on a good day before gear. Some things that is a little different about my bike is the seat is lower by use of a Superbike tail. Allows me to get on the binders a little harder than most folks.
Hope this helps.
Mark Tenn (who I hope does not mind sharing his notes with us as well )
