4x6 with GSX-R600 shock - need help please

Post by patrino »

I've got an FZR400 with a 600 motor, set up for road race use.

It's got a later model swingarm (I believe one of the 'Deltabox' style) ones, 17" CBR rear wheel conversion, with a rear shock off a 20xx GSX-R600.

I'm planning to have the rear shock resprung and revalved this winter, to get ready for the 2019 race season, but want to make sure the rear shock geometry's proper, before I take my sag measurements and ship it to RaceTech. I've got the preload maxxed out now but there's still way too much sag for my 175#, so I know it at least needs a respring.

Anyone running an FZR frame with Deltabox swingarm and Jixxer shock? If so, what are your dogbone lengths? And swingarm angle?

I've read this http://www.saltmine.org.uk/fzr/3tj-mod.html but that article's for a '92 FZR600. I'm not sure how similar the 600 frames are to the 400 frames.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Patrick
