ultrasound on cylinder

Post by Mouser »

Hi,

Anyone knows for sure if cylinders and pistons of the 3BF (1WG) can be cleaned with Ultrasound an citric acid (ultrasound cleaner).

Is there any coating that can take harm?

Thanks

Don't think they're coated - you mean engine pistons ?

I used a wire brush on a drill to do the crowns of mine. If you think the oilways are blocked then I'd probably just leave them in petrol for a while.
