I removed my ground wire that connects to the negative battery lead and i cant find in my manual where it goes, as i have forgotten. (1989 FZR400 1wg)

Just wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head.

On my Genesis the ground lead is earthed by the rear starter motor fixing bolt.

On my 3HE 600 it is by the one of the upper crankcase fixing bolts at the rear of the engine in the vicinity of the top rear engine mount.

If your lead is still full length then the starter motor fixing bolt will be best.
It gives the utmost connection to earth the starter..........which is good.

There you can see the grounding cable crossing the swingarm and the distance-axle on the right hand, its just connected to one of the crankcase-screws sitting on top right hand of the crankcase. The photo is from a 3BF which has unless the color the same Motor as the first generation 1WG,so the mountingpoint for the cable should also be the same ;)

I do not see one but I was able to shift the cable to the starter mountings.
