It's actually an 89 Genesis with a 600cc swap, Fox rear shock, D&D Exhaust.

Sorry for the typo on the title. banghead

The day I picked it up...

Nice find!

What year and model is your Suzuki? I assume GSXR, but I could be wrong. I don't recognize the front.

You're right! It is a 600 front end... I'm thinking about swapping it out for some inverted forks.

You might find the original pillion peg will support the can a little further back.

In the UK if you fit a pillion seat you need to have the pegs in place for the MOT test. Take the seat off for the test or make a cover though, and you'll be fine.

Looking good!

That exhaust hanger was standard issue on the California (EXUP) 1WG models. I replaced mine with a pillion peg to take my girl for a spin one night, and found the mounting point on the exhaust to be in the same location for either one. I'm guessing you have a Cali model, and the EXUP system has been removed to fit the pillion seat

I haven't had an inspection required to register any of my bikes when (acquired in-state), so I doubt the lack of pillion pegs will be an issue. (Assuming the bike will be registered in the same state as the tow vehicle). Seems as though things are more stringent in the UK.

So, willandrip... Whats up with the 2TK?

The Genesis never had an EXUP. The California model looks like a 3EN2 had the EXUP .... the header pipes on these are marked 2TK but the 3EN2 had a different can, (silver alloy) to the 2TK (Black alloy)
I put a 2TK full system on a 3EN2 and the bolt hole for the can was about 25-30mm out (I think it was forward) I found a bit to fit from somewhere

Wow...

Okay, well, I was just reporting from the experiences I've had with my bike. My avatar kind of spells it out, but since everyone is sharing pics... Here it is with the EXUP stuff.

...And after I removed it to fit the pillion. (Had to remove the servo to fit the seat).

I don't know, maybe it's a "one-off"... I'm not sure if I should feel fortunate to have the only California FZR400 Genesis/EXUP (1WG) produced, or disappointed that I haven't been able to find any of the 3EN2 variants. Maybe someone else from Cali could provide some clarification on the issue for the sake of accuracy. I'm intrigued...

Hey Evil, have you considered that the issue you observed mounting the 2TK exhaust on the 3EN2 could be due to the variations in the respective sub-frames? Isn't the tail section a little longer on the 3EN2?

Nice! What front forks/tripples did you use? Please share...

You're probably right, I'm on this side of the pond so I don't know much about the USA bikes. The 3en2 / 2tk thing isn't a problem any longer I sold the bike.

Nice hair BTW, I bet you use shapoo and stuff
