Randomly revving up on tickover? 3en2

on tickover when she is warm sometime she revs upto like 5k sits there for a second and then goes back 2 just other 1k and it struggles to tick over atall when cold? choke does absolutley nothing revs the balls of the bike but it only revs sometimes other ties it ticks over fine any ideas?

The engine running fast could be a weakening mixture.
Clean inside the airbox and check the filter.
Renew the fuel filter then clean and balance the carbs.

FZR's are old bikes, the rubber inlet manifolds are know to crack/perish therefore they leak air. Quick test get the bike to idle then spray carb cleaner around all 4 inlet rubber manifolds, if the engine speed increases (RPM's) you have just identified the cause.
