Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
You won't be able to fit the black fairing infill if you use the blue one.

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
Either the top fitting (blue) or the bottom fitting (gold) converter may be fitted to a 3EN2.
It wont fit 3EN1
3TJ/4dx
3HE 600 (early ones with horrible 3EN1 style instruments.) later ones no problems.
Here is a top converter fitted to one of the 3EN2s;t was blue but I stripped the anodising off,

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
Next time I am in the garage I will get a pic of the false air duct trims fitted with the converter,
Boris is correct in the fact that the clearance is tight.
Those trims, by the way are very rare used but can still be purchased new if you have £100 to spend !
I converted the later 3HE ones and they look reasonable.

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
You don't need them as such but they fit inside the top fairing, covering the wires and subframe and tidy up the look of it all.

If I find them I'll put them back on! But if I don't its not the end of the world!
Is the speedo converter one size fits all?
Cheers guys

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
Here is a converted 3HE trim fitted to a 3EN2 fairing;
Here is the standard 3EN2 trim with fairing and converter.
Here is an early 3HE 600 (same as 3EN1) showing why the converter cannot be fitted at the speedo.
Here is a SP 2TK (same as 1WG Genesis)
Here is a Genesis but with 3EN1 fairing;no false air ducts or trims.

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
Thankyou for showing me them! I really prefer the look of the 3HE trims on the 3en2 how much modding did they take? Have you done any other mods like that? Really like things like that! Thankyou for taking the time to take pictures

Re: speedo cable/clocks help please
That job only took about 20 minutes.
It was done because I had no original trims, and 2nd hand are not available.
All I did was line up the 600 trim which I had in stock, move the mountings on the false intake pipes to utilise the existing holes on the trims, cut it back a little and bolt it up.
Who can afford £100 on new trims for a £400 motorcycle ?
What you have to remember is; we are working with 20 year plus old machinery here, whatever works is good.
Cheap is even better.
