RGV rim fitment

Looking for some first hand info: Has anyone here fit a 4.5/17" RGV250 (from the VJ22) rim into a 1990 400 swing arm? I'm primarily concerned with finding out if there is a tire choice for it that will clear the chain... perhaps offsetting the sprocket will do the trick? (The stock tire on the VJ22's was 150/60)

I'm presently running a 428 chain... I can't remember offhand, but I think Suzuki ran a 520 so I'm assuming a chain swap is necessary... And there's an axle dia. dilemma but I can machine my way out of that.

Any info on attempt success/ failures here would be much appreciated. Thanks.
