It looks like there is one, or atleast another bike with the bodywork in the picture of the tank. upper right corner.

duc body kits, R1 panels, R6 panels, and a zx6 front end. The FZR is becoming the Fiero of motorcycles

looks pretty cool!, keep it coming, the tank looks scary though
but why isnt you replace the entire 848 tank? is the tank measurement completely different from fzr?
im not sure if the weld will not last long from the rust
