For $4000, I would buy a 04-05 GSXR750 and smoke that FZ in any category (braking, speed, agility). He can call it a "Superbike" all he wants, but "super" doesn't belong to that bike in my opinion. That has the standard exhaust, suspension, etc...

Only way to know if your 750 motor will fit is to try it. Not sure that anyone here has tried it.

I thought he did a good job explaining it........and that isn't the point,it is a rare bike ......and that isn't the point......the point is it looks like a FZR 400 with FZ 750 engine.I will probably try it but before I start I need to accumulate info.Andy

Looks like an FZR1000 frame to me, which I do believe is what they used. The 400 frames don't have the indentation up close to the front of the frame. The big question would be the width of the engine which is something you should be able to measure right away.

It is definitely NOT an FZR400 with an FZ750 motor. I would agree with ragedigital about it probably being an early 87-88 FZR1000 Genesis frame. The FZR1000 EXUP has the Deltabox 2 frame which eliminated the down tubes.

Here is more info on the bike

Upon further research, I found out that the bike weighs about the same as an FZR1000. Although it is a cool collector bike, If you want performance you are better off buying an FZR1000.
