FZR 400 REAR TIRE SIZE ?

Whats the biggest tire you can run on a 90 fzr 400 rear stock rim ?. I know the choices are not great with a 18" rim, what d brand tire do u guys run ?.

I do believe a 150 is the widest you could go.

Was hoping you would say 160, oh well.

I've heard that some 160s might fit, but then they may hit the brake arm. I saw someone with a 160 and he had to bend in his brake arm to make it fit. That's why I would be hesitant to do it, but then again an 18" rim is the real problem.

Yeah 18" rims not good. There are no 17" rims that will just bolt right up?. I have been riding a 85 RZ 350, that bike also has a 18" rim, but the tire is very narrow, so the 400 150 tire is a improvment.
