this topic has been discussed on the site before but a while back I seem to remember that the flow rate was the critical thing as it overloaded the carb's controls. that is from memory and at my age that is never that good, check the archived posts by using SEARCH.

Re: Universal small fuelpump question
I would think that if the fuel pump has a cutoff like ours does it shouldn't matter, as long as it can pump gas as fast as ours can. Idk if you can get a GPM (gallon per minute) rating anywhere though

Re: Universal small fuelpump question
From what I remember FZR pumps operate at around 7psi. The pump you found may work though. The Mr Gasket Pump I recommended will for sure. We have (or had depending) at least two members that were using them with no issues.

Re: Universal small fuelpump question
Everyone thanks,
I will look for a pump that works around 5.5-9 psi.
I thought that a fuelpump stops automaticly by i bit of backpressure, an starts again when the carburateurs need it

Re: Universal small fuelpump question
The FZR250 pump pressure is 10kpa, or 1.5 psig.
1989 3LN1 FZR250R, currently stock.
