FZR 400/R6 ENGINE SWAP?

Hi All,I have an 88 FZR 400 with a fzr 600 motor.The carbs are driving me nutz! so I have a possible R6 for parts.....deal is just starting.I would like to swap the engine and front end....maybe.Anyone done this? does it swap?

Yes people have done it but it involves some fabrication of mounts and stuff not a simple swap.

Thanks,I haven't matched them up,just like the idea of throttle bodies instead of carbs.

If you took carbs from a 600 they should have jetting to be in the ballpark for your motor. After that you need an airbox, you could use the 400 one it should fit onto the 600 carbs. 400 and 600 airboxes are similar but the snorkel on the 600 is bigger so you might need to buy a 600 airbox anyway. There's a K+N element that can go in but it doesn't give any performance boost, you can clean it though.
After that it might be an idea to have a dyno tune to dial everything in with your exhaust pipe
