89 FZR400...muffler mods?

well picked up a 89 fzr 400 20k mi...got tired of the hum drum cbr,s--- makes a good stable mate to my vance and hines replica fzr600..anyway the stock muffler on the fzr400 has a supertrapp end baffles on it..stock muffler just the baffles added to the end with a center stud to hold them on..was this a old time mod? ....currently trying to get the carbs cleaned..gonna need a front cowling red and white some day and a rh panel ,minor fall over damage ....and all the tank hold down bolts .mia..gonna get the 400 humming ..the twin headlites are so cool ..im 62 and still hitting the twisties..and hi speed straights...nice forum to get some answers to stoopid questions..i want to get this thing to fly...Gregginohio

Never heard of Supertrap baffles on a stock muffler. I may have the hardware for your tank, or check with fzrbrandon. He is parting-out a 400.
FZR400 (1WG): Purchased a perfectly good FZR400 with Yoshimura slip-on/EXUP, Yosh jet kit, Factory ignition advance, Racetech springs and emulators. It even had great bodywork. Like some diseased maniac I had to mess with everything good about that bike. Well, at least I have better brakes now.

FZR400RR (3TJ):Yeah, it's pink.

cant figure out how they got the end of it off doesn't look hacked off nice neat installation..gregginohio
