Hi ive got a u.k 1995 fzr600r or yzf600r and i need to change the chain and sprockets. Can i cut the old chain off and split the new chain to fit it? I had a look in my haynes manual and it says about removing the swing arm?!? Would rather not if i dont have too. Thanks in advance! :shocker

Cut the old one, new chain shouldn't be in a loop yet, should come with a rivet master link. Its a pain if you don't have a chain tool, but I've done it by using a c clamp to piss the pins through, then back the link with a sledge and use either an air hammer or regular hammer and progressively obtuse punches to swedge the ends over.
