YZF600 and fzr600 question

In the states, this was the upgrade to the FZR600. In other places, this is called an FZR. Either way, many of the components of the US YZF600r fit onto the US FZR600.

YZF600 and fzr600 question

Post by wamearth »

Is the engine the same on both the yzf600 and the fzr600 on a 1995? Can anyone also suggest a good place to locate an engine for it?

That was a great post the Sweekster linked above. What was not explicitly stated is this: the FZR600 makes about 70 hp and the YZF600 makes over 90 hp. That is why you would go to the trouble of putting the YZF in your FZR600/400.
