man you didn't waste any time

. i think you should piece her back together and have a spare bike. you don't see fox eye headlights around all too often (or at least i dont). btw i still think the undertail exhaust on your fzr is freaking wicked

ok, the valves in intake #4 are lower than the rest.
I can see into the actaully cylinder because the valve is low.
I would understand if #2 was also low because that would just be normal air/fuel suck in thing but its just the one cyclinder...dont get it
cyclinder #4
cylinders #1, #2, & #3 look like this

Wrong.
All four cylinder engines will have
one cylinder with open valves, no matter where the engine comes to a halt after shutdown.
#2 is 180° out of phase with #4.
Firing order is 1,3,4,2 .....0°, 180°, 360°,540°...and back to 0° (720°)
(this is why poorly stored engines always will have a rusty cylinder-and will thus use some oil when resurrected)

I would see if it runs first...My bike sat for roughly 4 years before I bought it and it didn't take much to get it to fire up. Plus if you don't, know what you're doing nor have the proper tools and gaskets to rebuild a motor then you should wait until you have everything. You really only want to do these things ONCE. But hey what do I know...

yea, I think im just going to get the thing running.
it was wanting to turn over when I first tried it out but I didnt swap the plug

.
sweek, did you move 4 houses down from me?

guy just came up who builds bikes and he looked at it and he said the valves are good and had me put the bike into second and see if it would roll and it did and he said its good and he wouldnt worry about tearing it open...said clean it off and told me to put stuff from my fzr onto the yzf frame/motor

Do all the proper stuff. You've already cleaned the carbs. Make sure the coils test ok. If they do, some clean gas, fresh plugs and a battery should make it start up just fine. If it does it would also run a little seafoam through it as well.

^ thats really all it needs.
quick question. if i put yzf motor in my fzr frame, wont the sprockets be off set? would i be forced to do swingarm swap?
im kinda thinkin to just swap everything from my bike to the yzf and selling the fzr as whole running bike.

Yes, the sprockets will not align properly. With the YZF engine, you are better off running the YZF swingarm.

ok, some quick start fluid in the carbs and she fired up and runs....but shes smoking white and if I give her throttle the rpms go to 0 and she dies.

Let it idle for a bit and warm up. Does opening the choke do anything?
