I bought a '96 Foxeye and now I'm finding out the shock was recalled. I had sent it out to GMD computrak to be re energized, but he thought it wasn't worth it...
glad i didn't waste my money.. He said it's a basic KYB and don't bother....
Then I found out that the R6 shock from '08 to '15 could be utilized with adaptors from Lewis Fabrication, so i found a nice one 2012 for $75 on ebay and went for the $100 on the adaptors, and It'll be less than getting the '96 shock redone.
The stock spring on the R6 shock is 9.8 kg/mm where the foxeye shock is 8.4 kg/mm so right off it'll be much better, found that out at RaceTech....

I'm learnin.....
