headlight randomly quit working
help me please idk whats going on but i took her out earlier today and put 100 so miles on it and the headlights worked fine when i got home. i took it out of the garage to pull some stuff out and back a truck in i noticed that the lights wernt on. i pulled my bulbs and i see the left light has a coil broke. will that cause both lights not to work?
Re: headlight randomly quit working
I know that on my 96 the switch was going bad. It wasn't sending power to the lights or cluster. Check the cluster/headlight/ing plug under the airbox. The power feeds into it going to the switch and loops back out to the cluster and lights. You will have power going in but not coming out. On the 96 I think its the blue wire with a black stripe. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong about the color. Let us know what you find but I'd check what I said first.

i checked the connector that plugs into the headlight wires them selfs i am getting power there but not to my lights. but you did make me think about somthing. i checked the male pins not the female recievers. they might be out i did spray some cleaner on them and no results.

Re: headlight randomly quit working
figured out the problem. i sprayd pb blaster on the pins and female recievers later that night after i had already modified it to work with a switch they came on with the key on. but now i have it to where i can run both lights on low beam and then hit another switch and run both low and high on both lights. helps a lot night driving. now just have to re-adjust lights to shine where i want them again
