dirtbike handlebar mount???

Post by jmarcy85 »

Im wanting to mount dirtbike bars on my 89fzr600 and was tring to figure out how the best way to do this is. I can make the mounts if i need to but if there is a dirtbike triple tree that will bolt on i rather go that way. I also wondered if the stock trees would loose there integrity if i started drilling on them.

you should upgrade the front end and almost any new front end will have a bolt on solution

Drilling the stock trees shouldn't do anything you'd need to worry about strength wise. There is a top that fits that comes with risers built in but it's hard to find. The seca II's had risers OEM. They are pretty hard to find in the states though.

Also posts like this aren't helpful. It doesn't answer any of the questions he asked.

man what i would sugest is... drilling them out, get a set of dyna (harley) poly riser busings... then pop those suckers in there, any 7/8 bar and riser set up will work just fine
before you drill make sure you make perfect center on the bike and figure out just where you want them... then drill away
