well sorry to say i did not get much done this weekened. worked my tail off in the shop on customers stuff, sat had a cancer fundraiser (my team alone raised over 2300 bucks) and was super hung over all day sunday

dad came by to check out the fighter, tossed on the plastics to give him an idea... he loves the powder, but kept saying, why a rocket? ha ha ha
I opened up my carbs and found that i have 107.5 jets in there (stock) and for the set up i am running i need 110, so i have to order some jets today.

shaved my head for cancer fundraiser and had some fun with it

wow! big bike weekend! got a ton done on the fighter and just as much on the gold wing.... got the tank, f fender, front fairing, and chain case cover all painted.
5 coats semi gloss black, 4 coats of mat clear, PERFECTLY the color i wanted.... i was going to do some airbrush work on it but my buddies would not let me, i got the whole "less is more speach" and i have to say, they where right! this looks insane!

also tore appart the calipers and powdered those in gloss black to make them pop a bit on the flat, also coated the rest of the engine cases and all the rest of the orange, now it is just putting it all back together!

(the bolts where all stripped on the inside of this sucker, so rather than messing around trying to get them out, i color matched it to the plastics... looks wicked on the motor and does well to tie in the plastics)

some of the orange (passanger supports and heel guards, as well as the new mirrors)

gloss black brake calipers

also got the carbs cleaned and the new jets in... looking good. my speed bleeders came in so when my rebuild kit for the calipers comes in i can get some stopping power on this sucker

hey guys i am trying to set my floats and i have read many things. seems to be a group that think they should be set at 23mm another set of posts for 24mm and then another set of thinking that the stock heigh of 27mm is the way to go.

i am running stock carbs with Mikuni main jet 110, v&H slip on, and stock air box.... will prob upgrade to a K&N sooner or later

man i know it may not seem like much but i have been working and trying to figure out the rear section and the tail light on this bike forever, after some sanding and cutting, bit of polishing work... got it all fingured out and mounted ready for paint!
also tossed on the front fender and mocked up the lamp and tank lid. looks pretty sweet, wish the camera did not blow balls to show how it looked

well, did not get much done last night... ya know St. Paddys day and all... but, while i waited on the wife to come home i put in the rebuild kit in the brakes, cleaned up the pistons, put in the new composite pads, cleaned up the braided lines, and mounted them all up... my speed bleeders are here so i just have to pick up some dot 4 and i can bleed them out! these 4 piston R1 brakes are going to make a huge diff up front in some stopping power! the composite pads, and braided lines are going to be awesome!

*sorry for the crap pics, snapped pics with my cell this morning

eliminated the junction and ran them right to the master, have a bit of extra but i can secure that nicely so it does not look all floppy

Um....2 things

1. I'd be a bit concerned about the lines binding when you turn to the left and my suggestion would be to re route them.
2. The calipers, pads, and lines you have will be an improvement but only slightly. The reason I say that is because I see you have a stock master cylinder. The actual improvement in a brake swap is the master cylinder itself. Going to, for example, a 16x18mm radial from an r1 or r6 will be where the stopping becomes evident.
