hi fellas bin awhile since i was last around sold the 4jh fighter i built last year and have missed it ever since ,so bout a month ago was offered an 89 3he for much value just finished a zrx1200 and about half way through an xv750 build and though bugger it gotta have this and make a 660 fighter outa her so im about half way through.
I was going to swap out the front and rear sus for something more modern but have decided against this as i would like to keep her fairly stock and light
its going to have the 660 motor
black and white for the frame wheels engine etc
the body work is going matt carbon effect paint
everything else refreshed new bearings cables etc,anyway heres a few pics so far :thumbsup:

yzf barrel and pistons all cleaned and painted just waiting on gaskets and rods

2012 honda wsb tail unit and headlight

engine cases all blasted and painted ready for fitting

valve gear and cams 39.000 miles and like new
Thats all for now engine painting tomorrow and frame of to powder :thumbsup:

What makes up a 660 motor exactly ?

hi yg thx for the welcome back im glad you have replied to my post i have a question for you sir in your fzr career i dont suppose you have marked bikes you have owned or worked on ? ill post a picture of what im getting at once the head has finished its cycle in the dishwasher :thumbsup:
As for the motor
fzr600 3he bottom end,head and carbs
yzf barrel and pistons
fzr600 3he rods machined to fit yzf pins :thumbsup:

my engines are marked with KGB for the old company (Kerry (Deceased) George (getting there) and Brian (far from there )

Y-Geo,
you blew it guy but I can now sell my bike for more money later as it has the KGB stamp on it LooL.
Your wife was by last night for dinner she was happy to hear the doc is well impresssed with the way your lost weight has stayed off.
Back on the bike soon ? We, Camala, madam & I are going for a ride to the beach later lets hope my bike wrenching is good enough to get Camala there and back Lol

quick update the 660 motor is all built up new gaskets,seal,rod bolts,piston pins valves relapped etc.The frame swing arm and wheels are back from powdercoating just waiting on chassis bearings and she will be back on her feet again pics to follow :thumbsup:
