Thanks guys! Yes it is a sv650/Seca II top clamp. The datsun is my brothers, i believe it is a 72, slammed, still has the little 4cyl with a down draft carb. He's a big part of ratsun.net.

Were you're bar ends threaded on the inside? I'm just wondering if standard bar end mirrors will work or will I have to drill out the threads.

I just got the generic ebay ones and it has this metal sleeve that goes around the bolt and and when u tighten it down, a tapered piece of metal on the bolt goes down into it and expands the sleeve making it a really tight fit. I hope that makes sense!!

Looks great. Did the 2' x 6' sheet enough to do your tank, fender, tail? I am thinking about doing the same if I can strip the paint off the frame and polish it. I was able to strip one coat but not the original silver coat.

Might want to be careful there. If you have a FZR600, Fox Eye FZR600R, Or YZF600 the frame is steel and you'll be dealing with rust pretty quickly after polishing. my2cents

Agreed

best option is to powder it if its steal or do a good prep job and paint it... or if you had the money you could get it chromed..

Alluminum is the only thing you want to polish... just a bitch to keep clean....

Weel, there goes my first option. Saw some bikes posted with polished frames. Was going to polish the frame and carbon fiber than rest. Back to the drawing board......
How did yours look with the frame painted? Not too dark?
