Ace Cafe' Book Launch + pictures (19-03-2011)

Post by yamaha_george »

Hi well some geezer (Mike Duckworth) has written a book about the haunt of London Rockers back in the days of yor (or yours truly) & the re-birth as west London's premier bike meet (& classic cages) called "Ace Times"

This book launch is on the 13th March 2011 09.00 onwards

This old man intends to be there with or without his much loved FZR.

TD,
the only updates is when or I or any other bod finds something worth putting they are doing. My next ride out is Ride Of Respect on April 3rd going into Royal Wooten Bassett with 9,999 other like minded bikers.

If & when you decide you are going to say the ACE ( http://www.ace-cafe-london.com/default.aspx you can pick a "relevant" day) paste up and i and the others (Ice Queen & hubby) close by can troll on down its like 20 mins tops from me <BG>

Better the youngest looks like her mother rather than me <BG> and the URAL (russian made) side hack is not mine the owner let me use it after a long chat about BMW variants & copies that were better than the original, he was right the Russian copy is well superior

The older guy is Melvyn who is 7 years older than me and still rides bought himself a quad bike just after Christmas, the other guy with Mel is Mike who wrote the book "ace Times" and the pictures shows him signing it for Mel and the lot outside is the Ace Cafe' itself

The Two Cafe' racers one is a 904 big bore Triumph and the other is a Norton with the big tank similar in style to my old Dresda Tanked Triton (triumph bonny 650 in a Norton featherbed frame ) which was the last Brit bike I owned before becoming a "traitor" and buying a "widow maker" Kawasaki

Great pics, George! You look to be having a fun day. The FZROnline shirt is my riding shirt of choice. Don't care what I'm riding.

Didn't realize your youngest was that young. Cute kid with a great smile! Good to see there is someone that will keep you up running around for quite some time.

RD,
the saying goes "there is snow on the roof but the fire still burns brightly" ie I may be old and grey but the wedding tackle still works and Megan is living proof of that aged 11 & the eldest would be 48 the surviving eldest is 47
