hi there i just purchased a 88 fzr 250 2kr that has been sitting 4 a few years, problem is i can't find carb float heights??, workshop manual only talks about float levels, Have removed & cleaned carbs, replaced plugs & oil, refitted carbs 2 find 1 & 2 carbs flooding, removed carbs again & measured float heights found 2 be 11mm raised to 11:7mm, now won't idle & won't go to max rpm in 3rd gear

hm did you try bench syncing the carbs before putting them back on? How far apart did you take the carbs when cleaning them? Did you make sure the pilot jets were nice and clean

.The bike was idling fine at 11mm float height, just would start leaking fuel out carb overflow after about 10 mins idling, but i didn't roadtest. When i cleaned the carbs, i didnt seperate or touch any adjustments & made sure all jets were clean plus didn't mix them up. I have been measuring heights with verniers to be precise. I'm close but need specs. What do u mean by bench synch?.Plus a trick i learnt is soak carbs in lemon juice 4 about a hour cleaned mine up a treat & they were dirty as never been touched.
