FZR250 tuning

Post by xelif »

Hi, Does anyone have an english fzr250 manual or know how to tune an fzr350 2kr to stock? MY bikes running pretty bad sounds like it goes from 2 cylinders to 4 cylinders as it goes up the rev range. Its slow to get moving but hits a spot where all the power kicks in and is also where it transitions to the normal 4 cylinder sound. Can any one assist? thanks

It sounds like your EXUP valve is stuck in the high-rev position. A lot of bikes had this done because the cables and valve weren't maintained, and the cables snapped, so the previous owner simply wired the valve fully open. This link is to quite possibly the best EXUP maintenance site out there.

An English service manual is the Holy Grail of the FZR250 world. Rumour has it that such a thing exists, but it cannot be found.

You will go no where till you rebuild the carbs properly and sync them etc ..... and while at it check the manifold to carb rubber boots

Get a seal kit from Litetek

FZR250s are a Japan only bike so anything in English is pretty much non existant ..... I am presently trying to get some of the 3LN manual supplement translated
