Carb hoses SORTED:-)

Post by darth »

Hi,

I have just started work on a project bike - a 3LN 250. First obvious problem i have encountered is missing leads and rotten coils so have a tested set on their way to me however the next stumbling block i see is going to be the vaccum hoses/airbox fittings and what not. I basically dont seem to have any nor do i have any idea where they should go to / from etc. Could anyone supply any pictures of their carbs so i can see what i should have going where? :nopic

Thanks in advance,

James

James,
take a look in our WIKI ( the how to section) for Rage digitals carb piece I seem to remember it has some nice overall shots of carbs.

You should try and obtain a Haynes (or Yamaha original service manual ) if you get a Haynes be sure to check our WIKI for errata (they have some pictures upside down )

Yamaha has rudely failed to offer the JDM-only FZR250 manuals in English; there are occasional rumours of a friend's second cousin's grand-brother who saw one once ten years ago, but there are none living who will admit to having a copy.

Go to FZR250.com; do a bit of searching, and you'll find a lousy scan of the 2KR 250 manual in Japanese. If you read it side-by-side with the 400 manual, you can figure out what's going on; use the 250 manual for the numbers and specs.
