Hi guys.
My fzr600r m reg has a problem. When I put my lights on rev gauge drops to nothing and temp gauge goes to max? My battery is shot, getting a new one just wondered could this be the reason or is there something else.

Check the black wire at the gauge connector for continuity to ground. Looking at the wiring diagram, if that wire isn't connecting, it may be that the entire gauge cluster is grounding through the high beam indicator lamp and then the high beam lamps themselves. The current isn't enough to actually light anything up, so you don't notice it. As soon as you turn on the lights, though, the voltage difference drops to zero, and the gauge cluster is effectively unpowered.

Does this happen if you turn on the low beams?
