I am currently resurrecting my 1990 600. The neutral light is not coming on when in neutral. I have not checked the bulb, but if the bulb is fine, what is the next step in diagnosing the problem?

Check the neutral switch on the left side down at the bottom, behind the sprocket cover. The wire is held on by a screw; it could be loose, covered in chain filth, eaten by squirrels ...

No squirrels found. Just a bunch of chain lube residue, grit, and crap.

Cleaned out and light works.
