Rear Signal Bulbs

After a stretch of bumpy terrible roads the real signals don't light up anymore. The front signals now double up in speed so I suspect a short somewhere. When I look at all the wiring everything looks fine though. I'm guessing maybe the bulbs just fried ... both sides? What type of bulbs are they so I can see if replacing them helps. Thanks.

The bulbs are 1157 (edit - wrong, should be 1156). Check for security of the sockets; loose sockets will shake and pound the bulbs.

If one of the signal bulbs is out, the relay will speed up to indicate the fault, this is normal. Have you checked whether the bulbs are ok?

Sorry - the rear SIGNAL bulbs are 1156. My brain saw "rear signal" but read "tail light".
