need help

i have a 96 fzr600 stock the first thing i did was put a aftermarket pipe on it .
it was running fine .
then i put a 02 r6 header on it i had to do some mods to the header to fit anyways
i had to do some welding on the header and i forgot to undo the battery and i burt a plug up
i put a new one on it runs good .my qustion is when i put it in gear it stalls can anyone help me out or send me in the right directions .
is there something still wrong or do i need to get it tuned up thx

Check your sidestand switch and clutch switches for security, connection and continuity. If that doesn't work, try grounding the top-center pin on the 6-pin connector on the TCI - that's the safety signal input (Cali model - 2nd pin from the right on the BOTTOM). Just be darn sure you don't try to ride off with the sidestand down!
