The $100 paint job.

All right my $100 paint job!
So this is pretty simple , you want to start out by sanding all the plastics with 400 grit sand paper, I like to wet sand seams to keep the paint from clogging the paper and there’s no dust! Until it dries.
Once you have a nice service clean it, with some type of surface cleaner or Kleaner, I used this.
Grow Kleaner 1705. Don’t get over exited let it dry if you move on to the next step without letting it dry it will crinkle and then you get to start over.
Once it dries, I like to give it a good 20 minutes. Then I shoot some SEM high build primer. OK you can use the crap from home depot but its not half as good, you should only need one can or so.
This will fill any small imperfections, and then you sand it again! with 400 grit. When you pick your color get a primer that is near that color, this will get you closest to the color you want your base coat effects how your final coat looks.
Once its sanded you clean it again with the Grow Klean 1705 let it dry and then hit it with the final paint, this is the cheap part. Krylon Fusion for plastic. Don’t get the Krylon from the auto paint shop it’s got to be the worst paint ever and the most expensive this is where you buy from home depot. You don’t have to buy the plastic paint if you have a good base coat of primer. They just happened to have it in the color I wanted. You can get custom colors from your paint shop but if you don’t know anything about paint talk to them, when you go with anything with a clean coat, metallic, or pearl your coast will go up a lot.
When you’re done you get this!
I found the Krylon paint kind of soft when it was dry, so I pulled out the wax I used some Mothers.
It gives it a bit more protection, but not much, my tank got a little scratched up from my jacket but it’s not a show bike and looks pretty good.
If I have made any mistakes let me know and any input would be great!
