You can buy the "Yamaha 0564 Deep Purplish Blue Metallic C (DPBMC)" off of Colorrite.com but it will cost you $85.95 for a pint. http://www.colorrite.com/product/yamaha ... c-1905.cfm

or you can get it through CHEM SPEC for $37.67/pint
After searching through hundreds off metallic blues, I found a suitable color match. its EB03810.
3 skilled painters confirmed the match.

FYI: To my knowledge, the color of DPBMC changed from 97 to 98, making 97 a unique color in the Yamaha paint range. I have a printout around here somewhere from where I had my paint read with a paint analyzer so I could re-paint my fairings this winter. I'll see if I can't find it.

IMHO colors applied at the factory ALWAYS have a variant.. they are slightly different during the production runs of any given year model.. some colors have less of a varient than others.. Blues and Whites are usually the worst!!!
But this only matters if you are trying to match a fairing to a tank or something.. to paint it over all it only has to be close, PPG code DBC4798 is pretty damn close to yamaha blue.. I have used this color several times on lots of different bikes, cars, planes etc.. and it always gets the same reaction "Wow thats yamaha blue!! where did you get it?"
PPG has a subline called ShopLine.. used to be called Omni.. But this code is available in ShopLine for about 30% less than PPG..
Additionally PPG codes can be cross referenced to just about ANY brand of paint.. keep in mind the cheaper the paint, the less pure the toners so the color will get muddy and have a strange flop or side tone when sprayed.
FYI.. DBC in the code only means Deltron Base Color.. since PPG (aka Pittsberg Plate Glass) doesnt actually make paint.. they purchased Deltron in the 1980s the DBC in the code is basically an "in house" kinda designation that simply means BASE COAT system.
