Very good write up.

Even easier for a dry system is the Mighty Vac system. Literally 5 minutes also.

Yep reverse bleeding is the bee's knees. Phoenix makes a kit but yours is no doubt is more fiscally responsible. Everyone just be careful when doing this as the hose connected at the bleeder can come off under pressure and soak painted parts and yourself with brake fluid which will ruin your day. Thanks for sharing.

Your exactly right. You have a little time to clean if it does spew though. If it sits you can forget it.

Exactly the reason why I had a hose nearby to spray down stuff. The little vacuum hose isn't under much pressure if you do it slow.

I just paid my stepdaughter a fiver to keep pumping the lever, let her wear herself out instead!

You should go back and bleed it again after like a week. There will be small air bubbles in the nooks and crannies of the caliper. Since the bleed nipple is always the highest point on the caliper, the air eventually finds it way up there.

I used the mighty vac when I replaced my lines and master cylinder. What a fantastic tool to have.

Very good write up, lots of people don't know how to bleed properly. It's not as intimidating as people think it is.
