here u can see the room it freed up
when i do final assembly ill go back and seal up around the stack to make it air tight
When I was looking into this, it is aldo the front to back you have to deal with, and even with getting rid of my filler neck and trying it w/o velocity stacks still could not get it to fit. So I hope it works for you. I did the 1/2 YZF and 1/2 FZR aribox.

how does ur bike run with the half fzr half yzf airbox? did u have to rejet it?
TD,
These mods have been done a lot of times as whole or in part ) and most of what you will ever need to know about GOTCHA's is in the Forum's archives, the WIKI & SEARCH believe me are your best friendson this topic.

to save you a little searching I also tried to link alot of the How-tos, and mods in my thread below
I would stear away from moding your tank, since there is ton of alot easier ways to get the job done w/o tank modification.
