i hear the hole is in the same spot. home depot has a nice selection of drill bits thats where i get mine. i saw a photo of someone putting the speed sensor on the outside of the engine pointed at the front sprocket teeth and it worked for them thats what im gonna try first.
ones life is the way it is only because you allow it make it happen.

Make sure you have a spare sensor that is a high risk area .

Yes, that is a Single Sided Swingarm FZR600 that I built.

..ok...now with trying to be serious here
when im drilling it, do I need to go really slow?
Im worried of bursting threw and going too deep
dont wanna mess up my tranny.
someone said to put oil on the bit so it collects the shaving...
I think Ill drill to almost threw the case, then clean all the shaving. then drill the rest carefully.
then stick my finger in her and feel around for any foreign objects.
then put the sensor inher and flush oil threw the system to make sure NO shavings!
how thick is the case?

Yes go slow with drilling oil, if the motor is off the bike you might want to take the the pan off and clean it out after drilling. I plan on doing a 660 conversion eventually, and redrilling that hole in a new pan, so I don't need the plate I have now.

I don't have it at work. It was someone on here that had got a screaming deal on a older yzf, and they were going todo a r6 dash on it. they drilled the hole, but decided to sell it instead.

Perhaps this is a dumb question, but a speed sensor for what? Are you installing a different set of gauges?
