YZF tank, R1 tail... what seat?

Post by FzrAtx »

So I have a 02-03 r1 solo tail, and i finally bought a YZF tank off ebay. My question is what seat do I need? R1, R6, what year etc? Are the R1 and R6 seats interchangeable? Eventually I would like to get a r6 tail.

saving up for tank/tail conversion, maybe swingarm too

I don't have an answer for you, but I like those stock colors on your bike.

yzf tank will work with and R6 1998-2001 or an R1 2002-2003 Seat

Thanks The bike is a 96 with 89 front and side fairings, which happen to blend quite nicely imo. I guess I'll go with the 02-03 R1 seat.

Trimming of what? What setup are most people running seat and tail wise? Also are the r1 and r6 interchangeable ?
