Check out to see if they are legal in your area first. Where I'm from it can't be sideways and has to have a light on it day or night.
Cruisers always seem to get away with it, no one ever cares. But like always, the sportbike riders get picked on and cops love to follow us around!

i had one i thought it was kewl , i think i paid 35 bucks for it very cheaply made but i painted same color as my bike then it looked better . but after just selling my bike a couple hours ago if i get a newer style bike i definately will be adding a nice shiny chrome one on

.. if your handy like that you could probably make one yourself being that u have the tools . here's a pic how mine looked from rear

Cool. Thats exactly what I want. Although here in Texas you have to display your inspection sticker as well. Also has to have a light on it.

Here in Michigan it's the law also but ive ridden like this for god knows how long never had a problem with it .. also if u look under my tailight theres 2 blu led's and it just so happened how i installed them well the left side shined down over the plate so i sort of illuminated it at night .. but you shouldn't have a problem lighting it up.they also sell some with the light installed and u just run the wire up through the swingarm .

the only issues with the license plate bolts would be that they wouldnt illuminate the plate unless shining directly at the plate .. ive had those and they shine a straight beam

Jax And Pimp---Check these out...This is what Im talking aboot. They are bolts with the led mounted in the side so the tunnel of light points down against the plate...And btw theyre only like 10-12 dollhairs.

I decided to make my own. I used the caliper bolts as the mounts and use the rear caliper halve bolt as the 3rd mount. It is solid. I even put a light so the po po wont pull me over for not having a light. I will take a picture at night that shows how it lights it up...
I also took the opportunity to sink my R1 tail light inward a little more and shave down the rear fender a bit so it look snice and clean.
